You may want to click on this next one for a little bit of a larger view, there was a chipmunk this morning stuffing it's cheeks full of berries, and being watched very closely by one of the Sparrows, it was maybe three or four feet from where the nest is located.

Sparrows Eggs Have Hatched!
Discovered yesterday that the Sparrows eggs have hatched, I'm not sure what day they actually hatched if it was yesterday or the day before, but there are now three nestlings in the nest. Here's a shot I got of the little birds.

Song Sparrows Nest
I have quite a few Song Sparrows hanging out in the yard, the one in this first picture was singing away when I took it's photo.
I think this one was looking for some seed, sometimes I drop a bit of seed on the ground for them and they fly over to gobble it up.
I managed to get a picture of one of their nests this afternoon, while mom was away from the nest for a few moments. I finally discovered there was an angle I could see the nest at, well the egss in the nest anyway. If the mother is on the nest it's hard to tell it's even there. the leaves in the forground are from the salal it's growing up though a rosemary bush where the Sparrow built her nest.

Watch The Birdie!
This video should be a little more fun than the last one, keep an eye on the second Chickadee that lands on my hand. It sends a peanut rolling down my sleeve. You will see a Nuthatch next, it landed on my right shoulder then crawled accross the front of my jacket, and down my left arm, once the Nuthatch leaves, the chickadee returns and reclaims the lost peanut just before it takes off again.

More Fun With Chickadees
Just thought I would post a couple shots of the Chickadees. One of them landed on my shoulder today and sang a nice little tune in my ear, ok so it was chirping at the other Chickadee that was sitting in my hand. But it still sounded real sweet.
In this next photo the Chickadee is actually sitting on my finger while it eats the seed it picked out of my hand. They usually take a seed then fly off to a branch and hold it with their feet and peck away at it with their beak. Now and then one will decide to just stay right on my hand while eating.

Baby Bunnies
These two bunnies made a home in my yard last spring, they've been hanging out ever since.

Now I have baby bunnies hopping around my yard...

I hope they don't have too many more of these (Ha Ha Ha!) cause they eat the plants before I ever see the flowers bloom, they have been eating some that the deer never touch, little stinkers, they are cute though, it's hard to get upset at them while they eat my plants.

Chickadees and Nuthatches
It's been a long winter, but now it's springtime again. The Nuthatches and Chickadees seem to have taken a liking to me. Here are some photos of the sweet little birds.
The Chestnut Backed Chickadees

The Redbreasted Nuthatches

The most asked question I have been asked when showing these photos to friends is.. How did you get them to do that? My answer is... I didn't, God knew I needed some cheering up one day, so He sent them to feed out of my hand.
The other question I get asked is on how I take the photos, that's simple I hold the seed in one hand and the camera in the other.
